ArcGIS Engineer - ESRI Full-time Job

Job description

 

- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in GIS or related discipline.

- Extensive experience as a GIS analyst using the ESRI suite (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcReader) (5+ years).

- Proven ability and experience in the use of geospatial techniques in relation to the extraction, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of geospatial data utilizing ESRI software (preferred).

- Level of understanding and experience with geospatial issues and geospatial techniques to acquire and manage data.

- Demonstrated experience working in onshore pipeline projects

- Onshore Pipeline design experience, and an understanding of engineering principles.

- Use of GIS to design Linear Infrastructure.

- Previous experience in a support capacity (providing direct support to end users).

- Familiarity with ArcSDE, SQL, and CAD data.

- Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present geospatial data to meet client requirements.

- Proven ability to competently perform a broad range of operational tasks associated with geospatial and administrative duties.

- Knowledge of spatial and web development technologies highly regarded

- Some SQL query exposure (ability to write simple queries).

- Proven ability to provide high-quality, comprehensive client service and establish effective working relationships to communicate, consult, and negotiate with project teams through sound communication, teamwork, and liaison skills.

- Proven ability and experience in the use of geospatial techniques in relation to the extraction, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of geospatial data utilizing ESRI software.

- Proven ability to convert tabular data (Excel) into geospatial data using Easting/Northing or linear reference.

- Proven ability to draft the functional requirements and get approval from SMEs of various teams.

- Prioritize product and development backlog.

- Proven ability in technical writing with the ability to develop and maintain user guides and training material.

- Demonstrated experience working independently and as a member of a team.

- Experience in the use of Blue Sky Lightning for generation of Alignment Sheets.
